August is said to be the best season in Russia. We started our journey in the world's largest country from St. Petersburg.

The ticket is reserved for my son's summer vacation in May: HNA starts from Shanghai and stops in Beijing to return to St. Petersburg. On the return journey, there is a 12 hour day stay in Beijing, just turning around in the capital.

After comparing the routes of the team, we decided to travel freely. Although we have concerns about language, safety, and food and beverage taste, we can make our own itinerary and go deep into the local experience. This risk is worth a try; As it turns out, security is a real concern. We spend about 20000 on two major tours and one small tour. If we travel as a team, it's more than doubled.

Itinerary: 2015.08.07-2015.08.14

Fantastic, nervous, full of expectations, but also with a little unreliable journey to Russia began.

After a long eight hour flight, I saw for the first time that polkovo airport, surrounded by forests, was still full of sunshine at 6 p.m. - because of its high latitude, the sunshine was still like three or four o'clock. In St. Petersburg in August, the sun sets near 9 o'clock, and the landscape lights of buildings are not lit until 9:30.

After going through the customs, the most important thing is to meet the WiFi needs at the bottom of the new Maslow. There are several Telecom stores in the international arrival hall of the airport, so the English communication of the staff is unimpeded. We chose the pure data package of beeline 300 rubles 30g (three people share the hot spots on one mobile phone, but it only takes more than 500 m in the last seven days, and the traffic is mostly spent on Google maps and wechat). In the information center of the hall, you can get the urban map in Chinese, English and Russian.

Beeline airport network

Just outside the airport is the K39 China bus, which is 40 rubles to moskvoskaya subway station in the urban area. It's more than 20 minutes' drive. The driver can change his change when he gets on the bus.

Arrive at the subway station, at касса( This trip in Russia (the most familiar word) to buy tickets, St. Petersburg single 31 rubles. The subway platform is four or five times as deep as Shanghai by visual inspection. There is a security guard box at the bottom of the escalator. The instructions in the station are mostly in English. This platform is similar to Beijing Metro Line 1 and line 2, because the planning is inherited from the Soviet Union.

The unfathomable subway platform

After reading the negative reports about the social situation in Russia, I got on the train and didn't see the skinheads. However, two young men with Central Asian faces followed me. I was worried. I didn't let go of the luggage handle until I got off the train. Inside the carriage, the cold and stern temperament of the Russian nation was first seen. Most of the passengers were not smiling and sitting upright. The silence in the carriage reflected the huge noise of driving.

M2 is the same as the old subway in Beijing

We got off at the vladmirskaya station. As soon as we took out the map, a middle school student like man on the road asked us in English if we needed help and gave us directions to the hotel. The 5th Corner Hotel has a small facade, and its name is worthy of the name. It is just at the intersection of five roads. This is the style of Express Hotel, the room is high, the space is bright, but the hotel computer failure, with the printed check-in certificate did not check in, did not pay the deposit let us check in.

The interior of the hotel has a modern style

Zagorodny Prospekt at night

When the surrounding environment was not yet familiar, I went to the kiosk outside the subway station to stand two pieces of Russian pancakes, which were tied up with Tianjin pancakes and French currants. The total amount was 118 rubles, which was quite delicious.

First meal in Russia

When I came back, I found a small convenience store on the street, with 70 rubles for 1 liter of milk, 50 rubles for juice drinks, and 40 rubles for 350 ml of coke (the price of the scenic spot stalls should be doubled).

Get up early and walk to Nevsky Prospekt, the center of the city. The buildings along the street are neat but not identical (there are no tall buildings in the whole city, because the height can't surpass the Winter Palace). The style is simple and the quality is new (it's estimated that many of them were rebuilt after World War II). Shops, churches, bars, museums and hockey clubs are lined up, On the broad road, there are buses for painting 2018 World Cup, and sometimes there are other motorcycle groups whistling by. When you go to the Winter Palace Square, you can see more colorful flags, fierce men and beautiful women gathered. You know that an international Harley carnival is being held at the same time.

Neva Street

On the way to the winter palace, you will pass by two cathedrals. Kazan Cathedral is based on St. Peter's Cathedral of Vatican, with a Romanesque dome and a huge circular cylindrical corridor, showing its extraordinary bearing; Kutuzov and Berkeley de tori, two heroic commanders of the Russian army in the German French war, were escorted on both sides. Across the street, along the river, you can see the iconic onion combination of the Orthodox Church, which is the resurrection Church of Jesus. Because it was built to commemorate the assassination of Tsar Alexander II here, it is also known as the "dripping blood" church. The name is slightly bloody, but the perspective of the church with the canal is very photogenic.

Part of my Russian complex comes from leonzanov's comedy "Italian adventures in Russia" I saw in junior high school( http://movie.douban.com/subject/1301859/ )The story of a Soviet scout and a group of Italian adventurers in search of treasure not only touches human nature, but also is full of romantic Russian humor, In the film, an Italian cripple kicks off the bridge section of the huge pillars of the Kazan church, and his son happily takes a picture.

Walking down Neva street to Neva River is the Winter Palace Square, the core of St. Petersburg. In the center of the square stands a stone column commemorating Tsar Alexander I. on one side is the light green Baroque building now the Hermitage Museum, and on the other side is the triumph building of the staff headquarters similar to the Brandenburg gate in Berlin. The goddess of victory drives the chariot at the top. When I was a child, I watched the movie Lenin in October. On November 7, 1917, the soldiers with long guns and thick robes swarmed in. The gunfire burst out, and the battlefield of "Wula" took place in this semicircle Royal Square.

The former Tsar's palace is now the Hermitage Museum. We book tickets online in advance and collect them at the scene without waiting in line (RMB 223.6, website: www.hermitage.com) http://www.hermitagemuseum.org/wps/portal/hermitage/visitus/main-museum-complex/information_ Page / admission + prices + and + ticket + information /? LNG = en).

The second floor of the museum focuses on Western European paintings, and the first floor mainly displays sculptures from ancient Egypt, Greece and Rome. The names of the world's four major museums are not built - Rubens, Rembrandt, Goya, Da Vinci, Rafael, Michelangelo, Titian, velaschez... The famous works of middle school art books appear here in turn. You have to look out of the window at the bright Neva River to refresh your mind. The team tour usually takes an hour and a half, and we spent an afternoon experiencing several artistic shocks.

Similar to the exhibits that met Murakami Takashi of Japan in Versailles Palace a few years ago, several halls of Winter Palace are also equipped with the plastic art exhibition of architect Zaha Hadid (she designed the train like flying SOHO that Ctrip entered), and the unique powerful and soft block lines of the works are in the same tone as the SOHO building.

Modern style in Winter Palace

From the winter palace, along the river to the west, through the long Admiralty building, you can see St. Petersburg's iconic bronze Knight statue and isakiev cathedral. The knight is Peter the great, who has made his mark everywhere in this city. He leaps the horse and steps on the snake, and borrows from heaven for another 500 years. Isakiev cathedral is known as one of the four largest churches in the world, and the golden dome structure ranks the third in the world. For those who have limited knowledge of the Orthodox Church, we chose 300 rubles per person for a colonnade walking. At sunset, we can see the golden streets and buildings on the top 360 degrees. This city with millions of people in the northernmost part of the world now looks simple, warm, fresh and beautiful.

For dinner at the Russian restaurant near the Navy Department, I was blinded by the English menu. I first tasted gevas, which looks like a mixture of beer and juice. With fried chicken, fried fish, borscht and Russian dumplings, I could spend 120-30 yuan for three people.

After dinner, we intended to take a walk to Neva street and drive back to the hotel. However, the fireworks rising along the Neva River attracted us to the river. Recommended by the black brother, we decided to experience a 450 rouble cruise at night. St. Petersburg is known as "Venice of the north". The canals of its tributaries crisscross the dimly lit ancient waterways. They pass under the iron bridge that almost touches the top of the head, and then return to the brightly lit Winter Palace riverside. There is a feeling that Zhouzhuang wooden boats cross the Huangpu River in an instant.

Today, I plan to go to Huangcun in the suburbs during the day and watch ballet in the evening.

Along the empty suburban streets( Загородный) To the west, it takes ten minutes to reach the oldest Vitebsk railway station in Russia( Витебский вокзал)。 Turn to the ticket office at the West rear of the station, turn to the picture of Huangcun in the introduction book, and compare with the ticket lady to buy the ticket smoothly (check the hard to distinguish Russian letters with the book immediately when you get the ticket).

Vitebsk railway station

It's 40 minutes' drive to Huangcun. The morning intercity train is very empty. Sometimes, some well-dressed hawkers come into the carriage and make a speech like advertisement. When they see nobody paying attention, they go to the next section.

Similar to Chengde Mountain Resort, Huangcun( Царское Село) It is the summer resort of tsarist nobles of all ages. It is named Ekaterina palace because of Ekaterina I, the wife of Peter the great (it is clear this time that Ekaterina II, played by Catherine Zeta Jones, is not related by blood). In the waiting hall of the station, there is a statue of the poet who graduated from Huangcun school.

His son studied Pushkin's Fisherman and goldfish

The first self-help tour in a language barrier country was not as unbearable as expected. Gestures can convey basic demands. For example, when ordering at McDonald's, a little girl asks if she wants to eat or take out, she uses her hands to push out and pack; When buying a ticket at a railway station, it's easy to ask if it's one-way or round-trip. The ticket lady draws an arrow directly to show that it's one-way.

Of course, the people of St. Petersburg are really enthusiastic. Outside Huangcun railway station, we are looking for a car to go to yekaterina palace. An old lady warmly greets us with "come, come". She thought she knew English and could help us. But in the end, she spoke like a chicken and duck. Seeing that people speak Russian well and enthusiastically, she really wants to give some response! Finally, another woman stopped the minibus for us and told the driver our destination.

Yekaterina Palace

Tickets for Ekaterina Palace are 720 rubles (free for children). In order to ensure the visiting experience, the time-sharing system is adopted, and the waiting time is just the right time to visit the beautiful garden. Walking through the neatly cut woods, the eyes are full of vibrant green. I brush the screen by the lake in a daze. My son is busy teasing wild ducks. The sunshine is gentle and the breeze is quiet. I have never lived such a comfortable slow life in Shanghai. It's hard to wait and I can be so relaxed.

Perhaps the czars of Russia have always worshipped France. The Yegong garden is similar to the Versailles Palace in Paris in many aspects. The palaces, gardens, fountains and gardening in the scenic area are familiar, but there are also eastern elements such as orthodox church and Turkish mosque.

When you have enough time to enter the palace built by the empress, you can visit it according to the controlled route. The highlight is the "Amber hall". The 200 square meter hall is paved with fossil resin amber panels, diamonds and various gems. It is a gift given by the German emperor to Peter the great. In the Second World War, all these valuable amber were taken away by the Nazi army. After the war, it took Russian craftsmen 24 years and 6 tons of amber to recover.

Amber Hall

After listening to the introduction of the interpreter to every hall, there is almost a sentence: "it was damaged in World War II, and now it is rebuilt in a certain year and month", which can be seen from the tragic battle of Leningrad in that year.

Back in the city, take a bus to the theatre.

Malinsky Theatre( Мариинский театр) It is one of the top ten Ballets in the world. The theater has two versions, old and new. The exterior wall of the new theater is also made of amber marble, thick but transparent.

Malinsky Theatre

My wife was on the official website before( http://www.mariinsky.ru/en/playbill/playbill/ )After entering the security check, swipe the QR code on the printed order to enter. Our seats are in the first row on the left side of the third floor. The left side of the stage is slightly blocked, but the view is broad. There is no interference in one row. The music is played by the orchestra on the music floor. The friction between the shoes and the floor can be heard clearly when every step moves. This is the feeling of the scene.

This version of Swan Lake lasted more than three hours, with three breaks in four intervals. The first time I watched ballet, the starting point was a little higher, but the wonderful performance really attracted us like a magnet. The first female actress has a deep foundation and has a great charm. When she enters the role of white swan, she dances gently and quietly, while when she performs the role of black swan, she is wild and enthusiastic, full of glamour. After all, Lao Chai's classic, familiar melody sounded in such an art palace, the appeal was heavy, even I and other onlookers were overwhelmed. The audience enjoyed it very much. Before the end of each act, there must be "Bravo" and warm applause.

Don't take pictures or videos during the performance. Grab two at the curtain call.

Today's Peter's palace is also located in the outskirts of St. Petersburg. Take the subway line M1 to baltiyskaya. Take the bus k404 (a nervous number) outside the station. On the way to the west, you can see several soldiers and war themed sculptures. The apartment buildings and roads in the outskirts are separated by large green spaces. Peter Summer Palace is located in the forest on the South Bank of the Gulf of Finland, covering an area of nearly 1000 hectares. It was built in 1704 under the order of Peter the great, who won the Great Northern War, and later became the suburban palace of czars of all ages. It is called the summer palace, but the attraction is not in the palace, but in its thousands of hectares of gardens. The upper garden at the entrance is free of charge, while the lower garden is free of charge.

As soon as you enter the lower garden, you will be shocked to find that the cascade waterfall group composed of 64 fountains and more than 250 gold and copper statues is as powerful as its former master. The man-made canal in the atrium goes straight into the Gulf of Finland, revealing Peter the Great's ambition of building a country by sea and going west to Europe.

At the end of the canal is the Gulf of Finland

Both sides of the canal are covered with dense woods and green grass, and more exquisite fountain sketches and small buildings are dotted among them.

Did Peter the great cross?

Peter I and Ekaterina II are the two "great emperors" most respected among the czars of Russia. Peter I made great efforts to rule the country, stole troops from Holland, promoted great changes after returning home, actively set up factories, developed trade, culture, education and scientific research, established a regular army and Navy, strengthened centralization, and captured the Baltic Sea and Caspian Sea coast through war, To lay a solid foundation for the future Empire, it seems that xiaohuzijun is the only Russian monarch with head illustrations in my high school history textbook. Queen Catherine, on the other hand, carried out enlightened autocracy with superb political skills and continued her military and cultural achievements, making Russia one of the strongest countries in Europe.

This sea was taken from Sweden by Peter the great

Through the woods, facing the calm blue Baltic Sea, my son is excited to jump on the beach, playing sand, and caressing shrimp and crabs in the crevice of the reef.

The return speedboat directly enters the Neva River mouth from the summer palace wharf and returns to the South Bank (700 rubles for adults and 450 rubles for children). The landing is the north side of the winter palace.

Two pillars of Poseidon guard Vassily

The pink green winter palace

The stone bridge has the flavor of Venice

Through the palace bridge which opens and closes at midnight every night, we can reach Vasili island in the middle of Neva River, and then through the exchange bridge to Rabbit Island on the north bank. On the South Bank of Neva River is the corridor of classical buildings, and on this side is the paradise for the masses. The off duty citizens take their families to stroll in the shade of green, sand on the beach, sand sculpture, sunbathing, and swimming, The toddler dolls stumbled happily on the grass.

In the movie, there are many lions in Leningrad

Stepping into the stone walled fortress of Peter Paul, the slender golden church spire goes straight to the blue sky, and the old national prison has been transformed into a variety of bars and adventure haunted houses. The vivid ordnance on the square lit up my son's interest. It was a pleasure to climb up and down. When I was high enough, I found the English sign forbidding climbing in the obscure place. Fortunately, no one found it during the off hours.

In front of cannon's cannon, his son put on a pose

Back to the hotel, I met Golgi's bronze statue outside the subway station of gorkovskaya. My son immediately said, "books are the ladder of human progress." the famous sayings of celebrities are quite clear.

◎ Russians love flowers. There are vegetable stalls outside the subway station

Dinner was served at tepemok, a Russian pancake fast food chain near the hotel. Three kinds of pancakes were served with gravas cranberry juice and borscht, and one thousand roubles served.

Pack your bags, walk along the eastern section of Neva street to Moscow railway station (Russia's railway station is named after the destination rather than the place of departure), and take the printed ticket order (Russia railway booking) http://eng.rzd.ru )On the platform, the flight attendants scan the code to check the tickets.

At 205aa, which departs from Moscow at 22:39, the cost of a soft berth is more than 240 yuan. Many Chinese tour groups also take this train, probably because it can save one night's room charge and does not occupy the daytime trip. The soft berth consists of four shops, with a sliding door, and the storage cabinet is completely covered by the folding lower berth. It seems quite safe.

All railway stations have Peter the great
