Yuantouzhu scenic spot in Wuxi, together with Hongqian cherry garden in Japan and Washington cherry garden in the United States, is known as the world's three major cherry appreciation resorts.

Yuantouzhu scenic spot, a famous scenic spot with the reputation of "the best place in Taihu Lake", has become the largest cherry appreciation resort in China, covering an area of more than 1000 mu. At the end of March, Yuantouzhu cherry blossom will enter the full bloom period, and various varieties are competing to open one after another. However, if you want to see the cherry blossom rain, it will be around the middle of April. There are more than 40 different kinds of cherry blossoms in Yuantouzhu. Because of the variety characteristics and local climate, all kinds of cherry blossoms will bloom later or earlier. Among them, "Fujian mountain cherry" with scarlet color, "Chun Han cherry" with pink color and "fruit cherry" with pink color are the earliest flowering species. The late cherry is the latest to bloom. Among the late cherry varieties, Guanshan, Songyue and other varieties are the representatives. The flowers and leaves are in the same bloom. At the beginning, they are purplish red and then pink. The flowers are various and beautiful. Generally, they enter the full bloom period in the middle of April.

Cherry appreciation strategy of Yuantouzhu Taihu Lake Scenic Spot

Public transportation: bus No.1 can reach Chongshan gate; No.87 can reach Dushan gate. There are scenic vehicles from Chongshan gate to Taihu villa gate. They will pass through yinxiu station and Dushan station. It takes about 1 hour to walk from Chongshan gate to Taihu villa gate and about 20 minutes from Dushan gate to Taihu villa gate

Self driving traffic: whether you enter from the gate of Chongshan or Dushan, you can park in the parking lot in front of the gate of Taihu villa. However, during the opening of Cherry Blossom Festival, traffic control will be implemented in the scenic area, so it is not recommended to enter the scenic area by self driving in those days.

Garden opening: the gate of Chongshan will open at 7 a.m. (close to the gatekeeper, maybe let you in 10 minutes earlier); Dushan gate opens on time at 7.45am

Guanyuan: tourists are no longer allowed to enter after 5 p.m. and must leave the scenic area before 7 p.m

Catering: it is strongly recommended to bring your own dry food and water, for the reasons you know (not because of the price, but because there are more mouths to eat than flowers in the hotel)

Chongshan yinxiu, the earliest place where cherry blossoms opened, is dominated by fruit cherry

Jiangnan orchid garden is dominated by Fujian cherry trees with scarlet flowers

The above two flowers bloom earlier, generally in mid March, but the scale is not very large

Changchun bridge is famous overseas at first, so it is also a must for tour groups. Usually, half an hour after the opening of the park, there will be small flags of tour groups and announcements from tour guides

Cherry Valley: it has cultivated more than 20 kinds of cherry trees, such as Yoshino, yiyeying, songyueying, guanshanying, yuyihuangying, dadaoying, chuizhiying, and so on. A - morning route

The gate of Dushan is directly from Changchun bridge. When there were more tour groups, they moved to Lanyuan in Jiangnan, and then rushed to Luding mountain. When they came down from Luding mountain, they could go to cherry blossom valley. At that time, it was flowers that looked at people, not people. However, most people were not as high as flowers, so there was nothing else except crowded spots.

Along the way, you can see cherry blossoms under the blue sky like snow, the beautiful scenery of Changchun bridge and colorful sailboats, and the whole Cherry Valley from Luding mountain, like a fairy tale world

B - afternoon route:

Enter the gate of Chongshan, walk along the shilifang path to Luding to welcome Hui, then turn to Luding mountain. After Luding mountain comes down, take the cherry valley, and then go straight to Changchun bridge.
